GGRP SOUND CARDBOARD RECORD PLAYER

To showcase their capabilities in audio engineering, GGRP Sound sent these cardboard envelopes that can be turned into functioning record players with nothing more than the help of a pencil to creative directors nationwide. Their initiative not only proved their creative prowess but also is a great example of guerilla marketing reshaping the environment around us. This is a really cool item. If any of you creatives out there are trying to get rid of yours, feel free to send it my way.

Thanks to likecool for the heads up on this unique item.

SUIT FELIX JACKET

A really well executed remake of the classic fisherman's jacket, the Felix is menswear brand Suit's answer to the monotony seen as of recent in the weather resistant jacket game. The jacket is made of treated cotton and comes in the personal favorite royal blue (exclusive to No. 6), but also in red, navy, and stone. With subtle contemporary touches to the classic styling, this is a good item to grab and wear for years to come.
Available now at number six.

Having recently released their first collection, New York based WHIT is contemporary line with a nostalgic feel and a French touch. Tim Groen was the first to have a chance to sit down with the brands extremely talented emerging designer Whitney Pozgay (who also just so happens to be my beautiful sister) to talk about her line, how it came to be, and to introduce Whitney Pozgay to the world as a new name in fashion. Click HERE to read the interview in its entirety.
(A Fall 10 look from WHIT)
The interview is part of a larger project by artist Tim Groen in which he interviews influential and emerging figures in fashion and the arts. Be sure to check out Whitney and many other names at TimGroen.com.

SHUT AND MILK STUDIOS SKATEDECK

For me gorgeous women and skateboards are both works of art, so when they come together it's a beautiful thing. Thanks to Milk Studios and Shut for their second collaboration. The lovely subject is Australian Supermodel Nicole Trunfio, she was shot by Hunter Barnes. Hoping to see more from all parties involved in the future.

THOM BROWNE FOR SUPREME

Always coming up with notable collaborations, Supreme has done it again. This time the iconic high end street culture brand has teamed up with a man who is no stranger to the menswear game, Thom Browne, to create a series of limited run oxford shirts that will run in three colors.
The shirts hit shelves in store and online on Thursday, March 25th. Be sure to grab yours before they become obsolete.

VELOUR FALL/WINTER 2010 COLLECTION

A bit preppier than what we are used to seeing, Velour has stepped a bit out of their box with their latest collection. The line takes a spin on traditional classics while still incorporating edgy design touches. As a whole, the line came out really nice and includes more wearable pieces while still satisfying all of your fashionista urges.

"TENDER" BY NORMAL STUDIO

An innovative design and architecture collective out of Argentina, Normal Studio has taken on the task of using ordinary everyday objects to create intricate works of art. Headed by Martin Huberman, Tender is a truly beautiful project that uses clothespins to transform spaces into really incredible visual spaces. It's pretty safe to expect more big things from Normal Studio in the future.
Thanks to Yatzer for the tip.

ROGUES GALLERY FALL 2010

PTLDME gave a nice little preview of the Fall 2010 collection from Rogues Gallery this week. The collection is full of great pieces that are really well made and yet modest enough for the everyday man. The brand focuses on perfecting the classics rather than creating outlandish pieces. Standouts are definitely the plaids and the olive peacoat. The jackets also display some really quality fabric and fit.  More to come after the jump.

PARRA X NSW AIR MAX 1

Parra always brings something unique to any collaboration but this time he's outdone himself. These Air Max 1's are fire, the tonal swoosh in bordeaux is a great subtle detail then there's the sky blue laces and tag that give these wheels pop. If that weren't enough there's a hand drawn graphic on the in-sole, these are sure to sell out so if you're in the market get to PATTA on March 13th. Of course if Amsterdam isn't local for you, find them at selected Nike Sportswear locations.
