STYROMFOAM CUP SHARPIE ART

Artist Cheeming Boey shows that art is not restricted to any specific list of mediums and that he is not afraid to step out of the box. For his canvas, Boey makes use of styrofoam cups to create his intricate illustrations on with the use of only a sharpie marker. The pieces take anywhere from a couple hours to multiple months and are sold around the world as unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.

You have to respect the artistic opportunities that our culture has made possible for a creative hobby such as painting cups to turn into a lucrative business, now selling for hundreds of dollars a piece. Check below to see a video of the artist at work crafting one of his masterpieces.
