Whether or not you are a part of the music world, you should know that Les Paul's are the crème de la crème of rock axes and have been for over 50 years. I had the benefit of being raised amongst a Les Paul original that was the pride, joy, and standing legacy of my fathers rock and roll past.

To commemorate the recent passing in August, 2009 of the rock legend and musical craftsman Les Paul, Gibson is releasing a new Les Paul built exactly to the specifications of the original from 1952. The guitar, The Les Paul Tribute 1952, includes a golden mahogany body, maple top, and rosewood fingerboard. It also includes Les' patented bridge and P-90 pickups. The guitar retails for $5,581 USD on the Gibson website. The price is steep but the item is sure to be an immediate collector's item and piece of history.
